Rena M. DeSisto of Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BoA/ML) serves as the Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in addition to being the organization’s Global Arts and Heritage executive. She leads several programs focused on arts, culture, and women’s economic empowerment, including the Global Ambassadors Program – a Vital Voices and Bank of America partnership designed to provide mentorship opportunities for emerging women leaders worldwide.
In the marketing and corporate affairs role, Ms. DeSisto oversees BoA/ML’s marketing, sponsorships, and philanthropy for the Northeast region. In her role of Global Arts and Culture executive, she oversees the programming of Bank of America-related investments in nonprofit arts institutions and the communities they serve.
Previously, Ms. DeSisto served as Philanthropy Executive at the Bank of America Charitable Foundation and also served as its Marketing Executive. She was Co-Lead on the marketing and communications team that combined Bank of America with Fleet Boston Financial Corporation, which launched the Bank of America brand in the Northeast States. She served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Communications at Fleet Boston, where she oversaw marketing, philanthropy, and communications in Metropolitan New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania
Ms. DeSisto serves as a Board Member of OPERA America, LLC. She is a managing director of the Metropolitan Opera, a member of the British Museum Chairman’s Advisory Group, and a board member of the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, Florence, Italy. She served as a Director at NYC & Company, Inc., the official destination marketing organization for the five boroughs of New York City
