COLLECTION CATALOGING, CONDITION ASSESSMENTS AND CONSERVATION
After completing the installation of the fine art collection in the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, art consultant Dale Egee was chosen to select and commission all of the artwork for the new U.S. embassies in the Middle East, which would be built over the next twelve years. Tel Aviv was one of the projects, along with Dhaka, Cairo, Riyadh and Kuwait. Each collection was country-specific, painstakingly curated by Egee to showcase the history, art and culture of the U.S. and the host country. Since the relocation of the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in May 2018, the collection has been divided between what is now the Tel Aviv branch of the Embassy and Jerusalem.
